Since she is 12 we can't think of something for her to do. She is smart with the computer any of you know what to do?? Help her please.

Making something to sell is a great idea. She can do ebay selling - you might need to have the account in your name first, it is safer than craigslist, and she can work with little to no investment. There are books galore on successful ebay selling at the library.

HORRIBLE suggestion I used to do that all the time. The lemonade ALWAYS costed more than I earned.


Try babysitting.
Reply:its hard enough for an adult to find legitimate jobs on the Internet. do you really want her to spend that much time on the net and possibly exposing her to all kinds of bad things? At 12 she shouldn't be having that much unsupervised time on the net anyways. Perhaps she should try babysitting or dog walking, shoveling, mowing lawns, housecleaning or shopping, or companion for the elderly
Reply:You would be opening your young daughter up to a lot of potentially scary people by doing this. Not a good idea.
Reply:Probably take her to the craft store, or buy stuff for her to make that she has Talent in! Then have her Post her items on craigslists or ebay or a myspace page~people will probably buy the stuff ,if its good, Then sit down and explain to her how small businesses online work, she makes that money then she buys more supplies, teach her that you can't buy her invintory for her each time. If she isnt good in the craft world, have her do baby sitting jobs, or dog walking jobs, or Gardening , it may not be online but if she is a young entepenuer she'd try it. Also speak with nearby business and etc about hiring her for stalking shelves or something-

Reply:If she doesn't have her own idea on what to do that's unique and, most likely, accessing her unique knowledge of her age group, then forget it. Also remember, just becaues you can sell lemonade on the street corner, doen't mean it results in a profit for the whole family.
Reply:well usually to start making money on the internet you need to invest money in it before hand, so that might not be the best idea, you can have her advertise babysitting locally, if your comfortable with her doing that.
