I recieved an email today saying I won $200,000 usd from Chevron/Texaco. Is this a scam?

Yes, its a scam. Winners of large cash prizes aren't notified by email.
Reply:of course thats a scam...if you won that much money wouldnt you think that company would make a big deal, like the balloons, the big check and press time?? they wouldnt give u an email...they would call or something
Reply:If you have never entered a contest..you can't win. It is a scam..they will want you to send them money to cover 'costs' to pick up your winnings, which does not excist!
